Funnybones Comedy was conceived late one Saturday night in December 2018, on the last train back from Waterloo to Fleet! Funnybones owner Beverly had travelled with a group of her extended family to London to enjoy some live comedy in the middle of town. Unbeknown to her, some friends had also travelled up from Dorset and by coincidence had decided to drop in at the same club.
The stars aligned that night as their friend, a certain Miss Cally Beaton, was performing at the club and they all got chatting. The universe had stepped in, the seed was sewn and that night the joy of watching live comedy weave its magic, was born.
Used to running events in the charity sector, the obvious extension was to run comedy nights in the south.
The idea was to bring the laughter to venues out of town and to offer an intimate and immersive experience.
Funnybones Comedy was born, with planned comedy shows running regularly through out the South-East. .
Initially working with the MC of the London club, they had been sat in the same carriage and had got chatting on the way back from London and realised that they lived locally to each other.
Three months later in March 2019 the first ever Funnybones Comedy show took place in Fleet and was a sell-out, not surprisingly as they'd managed to book a brilliant line up that included Mike Gunn and Bobby Davro alongside two fast-rising stars.
The success of this show opened the floodgates and Funnybones Comedy established successful clubs in Fleet, Alton, Yateley, Farnborough, Basingstoke and Camberley.
As well as producing and promoting their own shows, Funnybones Comedy source full comedy line-ups for fundraisers, sports and social clubs, corporate events and team building opportunities..

Here we are, five years down the line and Funnybones Comedy Club has become an established and respected name on the UK comedy circuit, with top drawer talents from the telly and quality rising stars on the bills who provide brilliant comedy entertainment to many happy customers.
